History: Jim is an Eagle Lake native who has tagged along with us on past investigations and was pleased with our work. He told us about his parents house which he has had several accounts in past years. We decided to try to document his claims.

It all started when Jim and one of his friends were using a Oujia board in the basement living space one night. They contacted a spirit who, through the board, said he was in the bathroom. The bathroom is about a 9 ft x 6 ft space that is pretty close to where the Oujia session was taking place. They then asked for a sign and at midnight, the toliet seat in that bathroom slammed shut.

After this event, Jim started to notice things move on their own such as a Cheez-it box and a kleenex box. His parents also noted that they saw a shadow figure move into Jim's room where a lot of the activity took place. Jim also stated that he has had the feeling of someone staring at him for prolonged periods of time.

Jim has moved out of this home now and his parents now reside their alone. We took this opportunity to document what we could and find what we could.

Any cold spots or sensations? There were no unusual cold spots or sensations.

Any unusual occurrences? We ended up by starting with two control objects to see if any movement would occur with them. We placed a dime and a quarter on one piece of paper and marked their positions on the paper. This was weighed down by paper weights. We then did the same thing but with a pen on the paper to see if any handwriting would occur. We used a standard video recorder with a tripod to monitor these two control objects.

After this, we scanned the downstairs location with the EMF detector and in the downstairs bathroom we had a reading of 5 milligauss! We were looking for anything over 1 milligauss and I believe we found it. The furnance is in the next room however the reading was sporadic and when reading the other side of that furnance, our meter did not spike. Something was in that bathroom! This was documented at 10:25 PM. At 10: 31 PM, the reading of our EMF and the 5 milligauss spike just vanished.

We then moved to the upstairs after reading the rest of the basement and did not have any spikes throughout the rest of the home that were not out of the ordinary. Photos were taken in the upstairs bedroom (Jim's old bedroom) and nothing was out of the ordinary.

We then finished our tour of the home while reading with the EMF and hearing the stories associated with the locations.

At 10:40 PM, Jim went in alone to take photos as we were dealing with something that was shy. We did not get any positive images from Jim's solo mission.

11:10 PM - Adam was using the digital camera and spotted orbs "sniffing" around our video camera that we were using to monitor the control items. (see below photo)

We decided to use dowsing rods which were recommended to us by the MNPIG group that we worked with the weekend before. So we found two iron coat hangers and made a simple pair and boy are we glad that we did! At 11:30 PM, in the upstairs bedroom, Jim was operating them when the started to spin.

At 11:40 PM, we tried EVPs with Jim asking the questions as he seemed to be the ghost's favorite after the dowsing rods.

Observations and Conclusions: This house is most definitely haunted. The dowsing rods and confirmation of the orb events led us to believe that. When Jim and his friend used the Oujia board, they brought something unusual and supernatural into their home!

Just one more reason not to play with them kids!
