History: Our third time to the Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. (See April 2005 and June 2005) The reason why we visited this time around was to get Kelly, our newest member, to be introduced to the act of walking around in the dark and operating the cameras. All new members will go through this portion.

We also were there to test the urban legend of Dr. Follmann that is spread about the area. Dr. Follmann was a doctor and not a very good person according to the lore. When he died, he was so egotistical that he had a large masoleum erected in the Calvary Cemetery that he was buried in. It is quite a large structure and does draw attention to itself.

The legend states that if you are to knock on the tomb's door (or window depending on the version that you hear) and walk around the tomb three times during a full moon, odd things happen. Some of the occurrances that are stated to happen or "have happened" include seeing a devilish figure with hooved feet and a pointed tail, hearing screams, hearing scratching, seeing footprints in the winter's snow, and strange shadows.

There have been other odd occurances in this cemetery that many locals have claimed over the years such as seeing strange figures at night near trees, lights, and noises.

Any cold spots or sensations? There are many cold spots in the cemetery that were expereienced. However the EMF did not get set off like it did in the previous investigation at the Eagle Lake Cemetery. The wind was at 3 mph out of the north so that could obviously be a factor as well as the vegetation in the cemetery as well.

Any unusual occurrences? The only unusual thing to report which has happened to us every single time we are there is that the eastern gate's most eastern light turns off every single time a part of the group left the cemetery. This has happened to us every single time that we have been there as we were leaving!

It happened twice on this night. First, Garrett and the two guests were leaving the cemetery property to go on a smoke break when the light turned off. The second time that this happened was when the entire group was going to leave for the night and this phenomena was noted by both Adam and Kelly.

Observations and Conclusions: The group split up into groups of three after our first walk around the cemetery to note objects that might be of interest to take pictures of. Not too many cold spots were noted so we didn't take a whole lot of photographs.

After we walked around the cemetery in groups, we did shoot off the rest of the disposable's film so we could get it developed that night at nearby Walgreen's. After the two groups walked around and talked about the urban legends that were talked about the cemetery, we meet back up and headed for Dr. Follmann's mausoleum about 11:40 PM. (almost midnight and some versions of the story state that it must be midnight)

First, we had a guest try the knock on it three times and walk around the masoleum three times. She tried this twice. Nothing happened.

Then, Garrett decided to give it a shot and did this twice. Nothing happened.

After this, Adam tried it even with the EMF in his hand, and did this process twice. Nothing happened.

Photographs were taken during all three persons' attempts at this urban legend. The photographs came back negative as for the film and the digital camera shows some orbs in the area, however, the story did state that you would physically be able to witness something strange with your own eyes.

And we did not! Or at least not what the stories around town say is suppose to happen.

We will test this process one more time most likely and see what we can find but if we experience nothing once more I think we all can finally lay Dr. Follmann and his legend to rest.
