The Minnesota Paranormal Study Group was called in to check out a home in Buhl that had the homeowners a bit concerned. Odd noises and their child seeing a man in a bedroom had them spooked enough to abandon their beds and sleep in the living room.

HISTORY:
The homeowner contacted us on September 24, 2009 via email to discuss a problem he was having in his home. On Saturday, September 20, 2009, his fiance had been awoke by the bed shaking by unseen hands. She also witnessed something pull the blankets being pulled off the bed by some unseen force. Their youngest child, who is two years old, had claimed to see a man in his room.
The family was scared and contacted a team who claimed that they need to have an exorcism done in their home. (This team had not met or visited the home.) This scared the family and they decided to get a second opinion so we decided to see how we could help.
INVESTIGATION:
From the first moment that we visited the family, we noticed that the home was in a state of being updated and remodeled. The current home owners had plans to remodel but had yet to start doing so. The home was charming and had potential although most of the surfaces were hard material such as plaster and wood.
We thought that EMF meters might have been useless as the home had a lot of exposed wiring but since it was new wiring, levels were low and unnoticeable.
The investigation area was small and since noises carried well, we decided to have one team in the home at a time. The teams consisted of:
- Adam and Don
- Mick and Kristin
Mick and Kristin investigated the home first as they started on the second floor where the bedrooms are located. They conducted EVP sessions while our DVR cameras ran and tried to reproduce, provoke, and record any type of activity but had no luck. They did notice that the sound travels well from upstairs to the first floor.
Adam and Don had investigated the second floor and attempted to reproduce the reports of odd noises or activity of bed shaking. No activity was able to be produced. While in the home, they noticed that the acoustics of the home with all hard surfaces made it hard to tell where a sound came from. While investigating, both members heard a large bang on the first floor but claimed to hear it come from different places within the house.
Other than normal noises within a house, we were unable to capture any EVP audio or video from our 5 cameras and four audio recorders.
CONCLUSIONS:
We were unable to document or reproduce any of the family's reports of actiivty. We have advised them that there is nothing in the home that can hurt them as it has not yet. We also have suggested that they keep a log of activity of what happened, where, and when for further information. Our communication lines are open to them and we would happily investigate this home again as the home owners were really nice and charming people.
